Starting with the tested and true hybrid powertrain from Toyota, the CX-50 hybrid combines a gas engine and three electric motors. The parallel series system uses one gas engine along with two electric motors in the front and one in the back. This allows you to optimize your vehicle’s fuel efficiency and performance by choosing to operate the vehicle with the gas engine alone, with a combination of the electric motors, or solely with electric power.
The 2.5 litre engine is proud to boast up to 6.2 litres per 100 kilometers combined. It also features an electric all-wheel drive (E-AWD) system that is designed to distribute torque between the front and rear axles depending on road conditions; resulting in a seamless and smooth drive.
Inside, this well-appointed cabin will not disappoint.
